The Shia Seminary of Islamic Studies is a newly formed organisation established to serve the Shia community in the West.
Its aim is to provide the teachings of the Holy Prophet and the Ahlul-Bayt (peace and blessings be upon them all) to the Shia community, and to establish courses designed for various segments of the community.
We intend to serve the whole cross-section of the Shia community, God willing, particularly with the objective of producing the community leaders, scholars and educators who can lead and serve the community according to the teachings of the Quran and the Infallibles (peace be upon them).
Through the Muballigh Course, a part-time course, we began working in achieving this objective, so that the students can learn the Islamic teachings and be the Islamic voices in their communities.
Through the new Pre-Howza Arabic Diploma, a full-time course, we wish to provide the knowledge and tools for students to proceed in further Islamic studies at the Central Seminaries, such as the Howza Ilmiyyah of al-Najaf al-Ashraf.
As an educational institute, we also aim to bring general religious guidance to the Shia community through literature, especially through the internet. We will continue to progress, with Allah’s help, to deliver other courses and projects.
